Rahul Reddy Vemireddy is an experienced engineering leader with over 11 years of experience in the information technology and services industry. He currently works as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at Microsoft, where he specializes in developing workflows for millions of data and the application of machine learning and deep learning techniques. He is skilled in Python, scikit learn, Keras, Django, React, and jQuery. Rahul has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi. He has a strong research background and has worked on several projects, including building a pipeline to include OCR for Text Parsing using Tesseract, an open-source deep learning-based OCR Tool to enable text-based search on the attachments of Outlook emails. He has also built an Alerts system for Supervision, a product that scans through every email/teams chat and flags if it's offensive language or bad words. While working on the family safety application, Rahul built a VPN on iOS to monitor network traffic and application usage from scratch. He also worked on improving the entire onboarding of a user, which is critical as it touches the core of the application. Rahul led a team of 5 people to build the VPN and 5 people to improve the onboarding experience. He has also led a v-team of 5 devs and set up processes to improve testability, accessibility, and localization for the mobile applications and services. Rahul has also worked as the Head of Engineering at Setuserv, where he developed an end-to-end text classification and sentiment analysis system. He led a team to develop a platform that processes ~2Bn Reviews daily gathered from social media sites. Rahul has also developed applications using both machine learning and deep learning techniques to classify social media data relevant to a given industry or domain. He has developed classifiers for text classification and sentiment analysis, for state-of-the-art results.
